Dear friends: This is an open letter to all merchants in Chillicothe. Are your sales down? That was dumb of me, but I got your attention.

We consumers are a little hard up in this economy. We are all trying to cut corners til times get better.

In the interim, we consumers, your customers are pleading with you to consider this. It is in your best interest and our best interest that the school board drop the new school idea at this time.

Since we can't make any more money to pay our bills and buy from you, if the school board does not back down, the we will be forced to organise a group to make whole sale purchases and redistribute the goods to get enough money to pay for what we gotta have to get by and pay for the new school.

None of us are interested in the extra work involved. We like trading with you, visiting with friends at the store.

But the school board is putting us in the same jam they are in. Not enough money to go around. We can't borrow our way out of this thing, we doubt that you can. And the school board needs to be told in no uncertain terms that they can't either.

Help us to suppport you, our hometown friends and neighbors.
